Inspired by all the exciting events we have seen and heard about going on locally we have today launched a new show via our YouTube channel called 'What's Up?'
Todays episode of What's Up?...Bedford, features 3 local guests telling us a little about what they have been up to.
Our first visitor seemingly came all the way from the North Pole! Simon Cook from Hypnotic Change joined us in the studio to talk about his workshop 'Finding your inner Elf: A Christmas Soma Breath and RTT (Rapid transformation therapy) workshop' running on Saturday 16th December at the Happy Body Project, Bedford. He took us through one of the Soma Breath exercises and talked about the importance of finding your inner Elf at this time of year! You can find tickets on Eventbrite: "Finding Your Inner Elf: A Christmas Soma Breath and RTT Workshop. Tickets, Sat 16 Dec 2023 at 13:00 | Eventbrite
Next up we chatted to our resident artist, Greta Andreica and her daughter Alexandra Andreica. Greta has her art work displayed in our shopfront window as part of the POP Bedford project. We discussed how Greta became an artist, what messages her art portrays and she gives some suggestions for budding future artists.
Our final studio guest, via Zoom, was Talia Giles from the POP Bedford project that Greta's art is a part of. Talia told us all about the project she is leading to turn unused shop windows into POP up gallaries and where we can find these projects across Bedford. POP Bedford — Pride Of Place Bedford
Finally we headed out of the studio to visit Inspired Villages, Elderswell who have put on a series of Christmas Concerts for residents, families and local schools featuring singing icon Aled Jones MBE to help combat loneliness over the festive season.
